To successfully reach your destination, it is important to follow the traffic rules. Does everyone do it? Of course not. Quite a few different rules are broken all the time. But the leading one is non-compliance with the established speed limit. Violators of this rule face a fine for speeding. However, realizing the danger, financial costs are the minimum that can happen.
How much will speeding cost a driver?
It's no secret how much a driver's wallet can lose weight. Just open the traffic rules book and find out how much the desire to drive faster than the speed limit will cost you. A fine of 340 UAH awaits those who exceed the speed limit by only 20 km/h. But if you exceed it by as much as 50 km/h, the fine for speeding will be as much as 1700 UAH.
However, the highest fines are paid by those who have caused an accident by their actions. In this case, in addition to the speeding fine, you will have to pay UAH 1445 for the accident.
And the main question is: where can you find out that there is a fine for speeding? The answer is quite simple. For example, you can check on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the police. There are also many convenient apps. However, most often it is checked in Diia, where this information comes very quickly.
Speed limits in Ukraine
Speaking of fines, it is worth mentioning the rules. According to the traffic rules, there are the following speed limits in Ukraine
-
in residential and pedestrian zones, the speed should be only 20 km/h;
-
the speed in a settlement or city can reach 50 km/h;
-
roads are designed to travel at a speed of 90 km/h;
-
a country road with a dividing strip allows you to accelerate up to 110 km/h;
-
the maximum speed of 130 km/h is allowed only on highways.
There is such a thing as a margin of error. That is, the speed may be exceeded by 20 km/h. However, although such violations are not subject to penalties, we advise you not to have certain hopes about the permissibility of fast driving.
Photo recording of speeding
This modern innovation makes it possible to catch violators more effectively. For example, photographic speeding detection not only captures the violation itself, but also records the license plate number and the time when it occurred. As a result, the violation is automatically recorded, and the driver can't escape the fine. Thus, photo fixation helps to monitor traffic speed in the 23 largest settlements. There are also such devices on national routes. However, most of them are currently in western Ukraine.
