As long as martial law is in effect and general mobilization is declared, men liable for military service cannot leave Ukraine. However, there is a so-called Shlyakh program that legally opens the way abroad. What is it and how does it work? It's simple. The system is an opportunity for male volunteers to legally cross the border. Thus, it is an opportunity to help IDPs, the Armed Forces and Ukrainians in general.
Shlyakh - program for drivers and carriers
The program for crossing the border with Poland, which is the most frequently traveled destination, or with any other country, is a kind of green light for drivers. However, the program for traveling abroad is specifically for those who volunteer. However, this is only the main goal. In general, the system should help eliminate corruption risks that can occur when issuing permits. In addition, the system helps to speed up the procedure in general.
You can log in to the system by following this link.
For example, under the Shlyakh program, drivers can travel abroad if they are transporting the following
-
humanitarian aid;
-
medical cargo;
-
cargo for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Of course, for a program like the Shlyakh system, registration is also a prerequisite that must be met. And the volume of cargo must be justified, as well as the number of vehicles used.
Conditions for using the Shlyakh system
If a volunteer organization wants to send a driver, it needs to send an application to the Ministry of Infrastructure. Regional military administrations can also accept such an application. And, of course, there must be a specific purpose for this, which is required by the Shlyakh for Carriers program. Only then can the driver's data be entered into the system. The program sets these conditions, there is no other way.
To get permission, you need to send an electronic request to the regional military administration. Then the regional state administration allows the driver to leave and enters his or her data into the system. And then, this information is sent to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the form of an extract from the order and the data that the Shlyakh system already has for traveling abroad. Thus, the program is not just a way to get out of Ukraine, but a real means of helping the Armed Forces and Ukraine in general.
Does the Shlyakh help men cross the border?
Many people may be looking for a Shlyakh not to do good, but to leave once and for all. However, for men aged 18-60, the Shlyakh program makes it possible to go abroad only if they volunteer and have the necessary papers. Therefore, it can be said that the Shlyakh for Men program is designed to prevent those who do not want to go abroad as volunteers from being excluded.
However, there is still a painful issue. Men may not come back. Is the pathway system a good way to leave the country? No, it is not. If someone from a volunteer organization does not return, its chances of sending another driver abroad are reduced. And in general, such an organization becomes an object of interest for law enforcement agencies. Therefore, the answer to the question of how to leave the road forever is simple: you can't.
