Only truckers know what it's like to live and work in a truck. But such work is paid quite well. That is why it is one of the most popular jobs. However, the war in Ukraine has led to the fact that only men over 60 years old are working on our territory. And young drivers who left before the war started are now working abroad.
Trucker salary in Ukraine
So, how much do truckers earn in Ukraine? This amount is based on the kilometers traveled or the total earnings on the trip. And of course, each driver also receives the so-called per diem. At the same time, his trip can last about 22-26 days.
And, of course, the salary of a trucker in Ukraine depends on what you drive. Thus, transportation by gazelle will enrich you by only 30-40 thousand. But to earn 60-80 thousand, you need to drive a twenty-ton tractor.
Trucker salary in USA
What can America offer a driver? Everything is quite good here. The salary of a trucker in the United States, if taken for the whole year, reaches 80-90 thousand dollars. It is about 7-8 thousand per month. For our money, it is a whopping 300 thousand.
However, such a “cutlet” depends on many things:
-
experience
-
the route
-
type of truck and transportation;
-
availability of different CDL classes.
Also the income also depends on the form of work: for yourself or for a company.
Trucker salary in Europe
Many drivers from Ukraine, during the war and even before it, chose Europe as their place of work. The reason for this is the salary of a trucker in Europe. However, it will be different in each European country. It is impossible to say exactly how much a trucker earns in Europe. It all depends on the country. Luxembourg pays the most - 44 thousand euros per year. But Spain pays the least. Here, a driver can earn about 30 thousand.
Expenses of truckers
In addition to discussing how much truckers earn, it is worth talking about the costs of such transportation. It doesn't matter whether the driver works for himself or for a large company. So, in order to transfer cargo, you need to:
-
provide the driver with a salary;
-
rent a car and buy fuel;
-
arrange for maintenance;
-
pay for a license and road tolls.
And then there's insurance. It is imperative to have truck insurance, or a green card for a truck if you plan to travel abroad.
